5 Do’s for New Vapers

When done right, vaping is awesome. It helps you unwind, gives you a sweet or savory hit of your favorite flavor, and it can deliver that nicotine you’re craving. But if you’re new to vaping and e-cigs, you might not be 100% sure about what you’re doing. So we put together a list of 5 things you definitely want to do and 5 things you definitely don’t want to do. Using e-cigarettes and e-juice can be tricky, even for experienced vapers.

Fortunately you can stay clear of making these mistakes while educating yourself about best practices. Before you become a regular vaper, here is our list of 5 do’s and don’ts:


  1. Use the right amount of nicotine

You may already be taking in large amounts of nicotine smoking regular cigarettes, because you’re still new to vaping—and that’s okay. Your body is likely already used to taking in nicotine, but there is such a thing as too much nicotine. So, you need to be very careful about the e-juice you select.

  1. Vary your e-liquid flavors

Sweets are delicious, but if you buy the same sour worms over and over, you’re going to get tired of them. You may never want to eat sour worms again if you never try any other candy. The same thing happens with other things you consume, and definitely happens with e-juices.

When you first start vaping, there are a lot of variables so when you find a flavor you love you may get a little obsessed with it and never change—rookie move. Don’t do it. Make sure you vary your flavors. Love things rich and creamy? Try Cloud Cake, but make sure to also try Custard. Love berries? Make sure to try Strawberry Feelz, but don’t forget about Strawberry Blueberry Banana or Raspberry Peach—ya feel me? But be careful not too change too often! We’ll talk more about that later.

  1. Drink plenty of water

A major side effect of vaping is a dry mouth. If you vape often enough, you’ll find your mouth getting extremely dry. You need to hydrate. Besides all of the other benefits of hydration, it will make sure you don’t experience that nasty cotton mouth feeling you get when you’re out of water and you need that vape hit.

  1. Fix your leaky e-cigs

If your e-cigarette is leaking, even the tiniest bit, you need to fix it! It’s likely because the o-rings inside are damaged, installed wrong or missing altogether. You may have also over-tightened your tank or used an acidic e-juice that damaged it. Subtle shout out—Lifted Liquids are battle tested to be safe for your device.

Regardless of the reason, you should never ever ignore a leaky e-cigarette. It’s usually a quick fix, but if you don’t fix it, you may compromise the use of your device permanently.

It’s just not worth ignoring.

  1. Charge your battery

Sounds pretty lame, right? I mean, we’re all carrying around smartphones and we’re used to charging things constantly. Well, be honest here… how many times has your phone battery died in the last week? My point exactly. No charge means no phone, just like no charge on your shiny new device means no vaping.

Make sure you follow the instructions with your device, use the plugs that come with it, and charge your e-cig whenever you aren’t using it. It’s far better than needing it and it being dead. Trust us.
